The mission of the Institute for Fitness and Health Foundation (IFHF) is to reverse and prevent the unhealthy lifestyle trends currently found in American families and communities. Our goal is to help people institute and sustain healthy lifestyle changes with measurable results. The vehicle for doing this is the 6 Weeks to a Healthier You community wellness program.

This situation is mostly the result of unhealthy lifestyle habits. But it doesn’t have to be that way. We have the power to bring about change and reverse these trends. 6 Weeks to a Healthier You is a program of practical information, realistic advice, easy-to-use tools and a high degree of motivation that empowers individuals and families to make positive changes that last a lifetime.

Learn How It Works.
The 6 Weeks to a Healthier You community wellness program makes a lasting impact for permanent change. Programs conducted in Washington, California, Michigan and Nevada have educated families, teachers, health professionals and communities how to improve diet, exercise and stress management habits. Results include weight loss, cholesterol control, increased exercise and improved stress management.
The program is lead by Joe Piscatella, one of the nation’s top experts on how to live a healthy lifestyle. In the 6 Weeks program, he helps participants commit to a life where good health is the rule, not the exception. The outcome is that they have the tools and the desire to live a healthier life…and they do!
The Results
Results are determined in two ways: participant evaluations and biometric measurements. On a scale of 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent), recent participants rank the program 4.95.
Biometric measurements are a critical tool for determining the success of the program. The data from programs conducted from 2012 to 2015 with over 1,200 participants speak for itself.

Over 40% of participants lost more than 5 pounds and 29% more than 10 pounds

Total cholesterol dropped by 11 points, LDL cholesterol fell by 10 points HDL cholesterol rose by 2 points

Triglycerides fell by 15 points

Weekly exercise increased by 36 minutes

An increased ability to handle stress was reported by 75% of the group
